ASIST
ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
A comprehensive, internationally recognised workshop that teaches participants how to identify suicidal behaviour, provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with a person at risk.
Ideal for community leaders, educators, health professionals, volunteers and workplace leaders.
ASIST is a two-day in-person workshop featuring powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulations.
You will also consider how personal and community attitudes about suicide affect someone’s openness to seek help and your ability to provide it.
This workshop will increase your willingness, confidence, and capacity to provide suicide first aid.
Two knowledgeable, supportive trainers will guide you through the course, ensuring a comfortable and safe learning environment.
Is someone facing thoughts of suicide.
Every day, someone in your community faces thoughts of suicide. And every day, caring people like you have the power to help keep them safe.
LivingWorks ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) gives you the confidence, knowledge and practical tools to intervene when it matters most.
You don’t need to be a counselor or mental health professional – just someone who’s willing to care, to listen and to take action.
When you become a Suicide First-Aid Helper, you become a vital part of the Network of Safety – where people everywhere are using their skills to help save lives and bring hope.
Why it matters?
Suicide can touch anyone – and yet, many of us aren’t sure what to say or do when someone might be at risk.
